Regarding the Funeral Service for Officer Larry Nehasil

Funeral services for Officer Larry Nehasil, the 48-year-old Livonia police officer who died in the line of duty, will be held 11 a.m. on Friday, Jan. 21, at Our Lady of Good Counsel Church, 47650 North Territorial Road, Plymouth. Fr. William Tindall, pastor of St. Michael Parish in Livonia, will preside.

The Archdiocesan Department of Communications relays and supports a request from the family and presider that no recording devices— video, audio, or still photography— be allowed inside the church building during the funeral service.

Media representatives and media vehicles may use the church parking lot, however, due to limited parking availability, they are asked to park in the back of the lot and to kindly heed the direction of parking lot attendants, ushers and other church personnel. Reporters and crews are reminded of the solemnity and dignity attached to this occasion, and are asked to maintain a respectful environment before, during and after the service.
