Regarding the Funeral Service for Nicholas Collins

The funeral service for 19-year-old Nicholas Collins, the Livonia resident and Central Michigan student who died from what is believed to be meningitis, will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, May 16 at St. Aidan Church, 17500 Farmington Road in Livonia.

The Archdiocesan Department of Communications relays a request from the family and parish that no recording devices video, audio, or still photography be allowed in the church or elsewhere on church property while the body lies in repose or during the funeral service. Due to limited space and large expected attendance, the church parking lot will not be opened to media vehicles.

Reporters and camera crews are reminded of the solemnity and dignity attached to this occasion, and we thank you in advance for maintaining a respectful environment before, during and after the service.
