Archdiocese of Detroit Hires Chief Financial Officer

Mr. Michael Schoenle (SHANE-lee) has been hired to serve as Chief Financial Officer effective Aug. 30. In this role, Michael will work with Brian Mooney, Chief Operating Officer, and the Archdiocesan Finance Council to ensure good stewardship of the financial resources entrusted to us.

Michael most recently served as Executive Director of North America Finance for Yanfeng Global Automotive Interior Systems, a position he held since 2019. His prior experience includes Executive and Financial leadership positions at Varroc Lighting Systems, Visteon Corporation, and Ford Motor Company. Michael also served in the United States Navy as a Reactor Control Officer aboard the USS Theodore Roosevelt.

Michael holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Michigan, and a Master of Management degree from Northwestern University.
