Reverend Francis A. Zielinski

Reverend Francis A. Zielinski passed from this life on January 16, 2023, at the age of 86.

Father Zielinski was born on February 7, 1936, and ordained a priest for the Archdiocese of Detroit on June 2, 1962.

Father Zielinski served as Pastor of Holy Rosary Mission, Columbus; St. Philip Neri Parish, Columbus; St. Margaret of Scotland Parish, St. Clair Shores; St. Daniel Parish, Clarkston; St. Paul of Tarsus Parish; St. Timothy Parish, Trenton; St. Mary Parish, Milford. He also served as Administrator of Holy Rosary Mission, Columbus; and St. Colman Parish, Farmington Hills; and as Parochial Vicar of Our Lady of Good Counsel Parish, Plymouth; Ascension Parish, Warren; and St. Florian Parish, Hamtramck.

At his request, Father’s body was cremated. Also, at the request of Father Zielinski, there will not be a funeral Mass. Archbishop Vigneron will offer a Mass of Suffrage for the repose of Father’s soul in the side chapel of the Cathedral of the Most Blessed Sacrament on Monday, January 23, at 11:00 a.m.
