Reverend Thomas Puzio

Reverend Thomas Puzio passed from this life on May 3, 2023, at the age of 79.

Father Puzio was born on May 7, 1943 and ordained a priest for the Archdiocese of Detroit on June 19, 1970. Father Puzio served as Pastor of St. Andrew Parish, Detroit, and as Administrator of St. Helena Parish, Wyandotte. He also served as Parochial Vicar at St. Philomena Parish, Detroit; St. Frances Cabrini Parish, Allen Park; St. Mary Parish, St. Clair; Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Parish, Wyandotte; St. Louise de Marillac Parish, Warren; St. Christopher Parish, Detroit; Shrine of the Little Flower Parish, Royal Oak; St. Dorothy Parish, Center Line; St. Teresa of Avilla Parish, Warren; St. Clement Parish, Warren; Our Lady Queen of Heaven Parish, Detroit; Our Lady of Good Counsel Parish, Detroit; St. Raymond Parish, Detroit; St. Raymond-Our Lady of Good Counsel Parish, Detroit; St. Bartholomew–St. Rita Parish, Detroit.

Father Puzio is predeceased by his parents, Walter and Mary (Senopolle). He is survived by his sister, Teresa (Jose) Moya; and nephew, Dominic; and niece, Alysia. Father Puzio will lie in state at St. Frances Cabrini Parish, 9000 Laurence, Allen Park, Michigan 48101 on Wednesday, May 10, 2023 at 10 a.m. until the time of his funeral Mass at 11 a.m.
