Reverend Frederick J. Klettner

Reverend Frederick J. Klettner passed from this life on September 26, 2023, at the age of 84.

Father Klettner was born on May 11, 1939, and ordained a priest for the Archdiocese of Detroit on June 5, 1965.

Father Klettner served as Pastor of St. Clare of Assisi Parish, Farmington Hills and SS. Kevin & Norbert Parish, Inkster. He also served as Parochial Vicar at St. Alphonsus Parish, Dearborn; St. Alfred Parish, Taylor; and St. Vincent de Paul Parish, Pontiac; as well as Chaplain at Pontiac Osteopathic Hospital, Pontiac.

Father Klettner is predeceased by his parents, Francis and Alice Klettner. He is survived by his sister, Katherine Higgins.

Father Klettner will lie instate at St. Edith Catholic Church, 15089 Newburgh Road, Livonia, Michigan 48154, on Monday, October 2, 2023, at 10 a.m. until the time of his funeral Mass at 11 a.m.
