Archbishop Weisenburger issues statement, plans events following the death of Pope Francis

In a statement released today following the death of Pope Francis, Archbishop Edward J. Weisenburger of the Archdiocese of Detroit reflects on the Holy Father’s legacy as a “powerful, prophetic, and loving voice,” and calls on the faithful to pray for the repose of his soul and the swift election of a new pope. Archbishop Weisenburger will further reflect on the life and legacy of Pope Francis at a press conference this evening followed by a special Mass of Suffrage for the repose of the Holy Father's soul. Please see below for details.
