USCCB Ethical and Religious Directives

On January 10,2019, Archbishop Allen Vigneron issued a decree effecting the necessary observance of the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops Ethical and Religious Directors for Catholic Health Care Services dated 17 November 2009 (fifth edition) in the Archdiocese of Detroit so as to uphold the ethical standards of behavior in health care that flow from the Church’s teaching about the dignity of the human person and to provide authoritative guidance on certain moral issues that face Catholic health care.
