Archbishop Vigneron Appoints Bishop Monforton Vicar General

Following the September 28, 2023 announcement that the Holy Father has appointed Bishop Jeffrey Monforton auxiliary bishop of the Archdiocese of Detroit, Archbishop Vigneron issued a decree appointing Bishop Monforton to the office of Vicar General for the Archdiocese.

In collaboration with the other Vicars General, Bishop Gerard Battersby, Bishop Arturo Cepeda, Bishop Robert Fisher, and Father Jeffrey Day, Bishop Monforton will assist Archbishop Vigneron in the governance of the Archdiocese of Detroit in providing for the spiritual and pastoral needs of the Faithful.
