Saints Andrew and Benedict Parish (Detroit) and Saint Andrew Bessette Parish (Ecorse)

On January 23, 2024, Archbishop Allen Vigneron issued two decrees concerning Saints Andrew and Benedict Parish and Parish Church. The first causes the parish to merge into Saint Andre Bessette Parish, Ecorse. The second decree relegates Saints Andrew and Benedict Church to secular but not unbecoming use; that is, the building is decommissioned as a church. The decisions in the decrees take effect on July 14, 2024. A certified copy of the decrees may be obtained from the Moderator of the Priests In Solidum, Father Timothy Birney.
