Responding to the needs and mission of Unleash the Gospel, the Communications Department’s primary role is manage people, processes and tools that ensure effective, anticipatory and responsive communication to all those engaged or seeking engagement with the Church — internally as well as with parishes, parishioners and the public (Unleash the Gospel, Action Step 3.2). To aid in accomplishing this work, the department is organized into several offices: Operations, Strategic Communication, Creative and Content Services, and Client Services, and the department also oversees the Detroit Catholic online news outlet.
