Global Celebration of Young People on the Feast of Christ the King

What will your parish be doing to celebrate this year?

Pope Francis declared that the Feast of Christ the King (this year, November 23-24, 2024) would be dedicated as a “Global Celebration of Young People”. This year, Pope Francis asks that we take inspiration from the prophet Isaiah, who says: “Those who hope in the Lord… will run and not be weary” (Is 40:31).

This is a special commemoration celebrated around the world and specifically aimed at youth and young adults. Each parish is asked to make an effort to celebrate young people in special ways during the weekend:
