Rite of Election 2025
Candidates and catechumens formally express their intent to enter the Catholic Church in the Archdiocese of Detroit at Easter by participating in the ancient Rite of Election. This liturgy, celebrated by Archbishop Allen H. Vigneron, will be held on Sunday, March 9, at 2:00 p.m. at the Cathedral of the Most Blessed Sacrament.
While this liturgy is for invited attendees only, we ask all in the Archdiocese to pray for our brothers and sisters as they take this important step on their journey to entering the Church.
