A recent communication from the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops conveyed a request from the Holy See’s General Secretariat of the Synod to observe a moment of prayer on May 31, 2023, the Feast of the Visitation of the Blessed Virgin Mary, for the October 2023 Synod of Bishops.
On behalf of Archbishop Vigneron, all parishes in the Archdiocese of Detroit, particularly those under the patronage of Mary or with a particular devotion to her, are encouraged to participate in these efforts to place the Synod under the protection of Our Blessed Mother.
